Shared conversations • Two corded handsets • One telephone line
Two people. Two handsets. One shared conversation.
The Med-Pat D2200 “2 Can Talk 2” dual-handset landline telephone lets two people beside the phone join the same call using separate handsets. From a patient and family member speaking with a clinician to a conversation with a telephone interpreter, everyone has a handset of their own.
Two corded handsets keep a shared call close and easy to follow.
Separate handset volume controls, a Volume Plus button, and CLEARING AID® circuitry support call clarity.
Three programmable memory keys give you quick access to frequently called contacts.
Made for conversations that involve more than one person
- Healthcare and interpreter calls: A patient and staff member can each use a handset while speaking with a remote interpreter.
- Family conversations: Two family members can take part together without passing one handset back and forth.
- Senior living and service desks: Support shared calls with adjustable listening volume and a stable desktop base.
How the shared call works
Connect the D2200 to a compatible analog telephone line, place or answer a call, and use both handsets to participate. Both handsets join the same call. For interpreting, arrange your interpreter or interpretation service separately.

Frequently asked questions
Can two people use the D2200 at the same time?
Yes. Two people beside the phone can use separate corded handsets to speak and listen on the same call. Both handsets share one telephone line; they do not provide two independent calls.
Does the D2200 translate conversations automatically?
No. Its dual-handset design helps two people participate in a call with a human interpreter or language interpretation service. Arrange that service separately; automatic translation is not built into the phone.
What telephone connection does this model need?
This D2200 is the analog landline model. It needs an active, compatible analog telephone connection. If your service uses a modem, adapter, or business phone system, confirm that it provides an analog telephone port. The D2200IP is a separate SIP/VoIP model.
Can each person adjust their handset volume?
Yes. Each handset has its own volume control. The phone also includes a Volume Plus button and CLEARING AID circuitry to support louder, clearer listening.
Does it have memory buttons and need batteries to save numbers?
The D2200 has three programmable memory keys for frequently called numbers. Its non-volatile memory retains stored numbers without batteries. Follow the supplied instructions to program the keys.
Is the D2200 hearing aid compatible?
Yes. The D2200 is hearing aid compatible and includes adjustable handset volume. The listening experience depends on the hearing aid and its settings; adjust the phone and hearing aid together for your needs.
Can I use it hands-free or mount it on a wall?
The D2200 includes a built-in speakerphone for hands-free calls. It can be used on a desk or mounted on a wall with the appropriate wall mount, sold separately.
